Awakening
This could be the most thoughtful part of your journey—considering the awakenings that have gotten you to where you are. When did they start? Maybe you started realizing there was something missing while you were a Sleeping Beauty, and you gently began to set yourself free. Maybe, like me, it took you awhile to move ahead. I know that I was in a dark place after my daughter’s death. I couldn’t go forward and I certainly couldn’t go back—the white gloves didn’t fit anymore. I could have stayed in the darkness. Some women do. My novel, What About Me?, is part of my awakening. My heroine, Jessie, got rid of a lot of my junk for me and taught me that once you start awakening, you can’t stop. Late-Bloomers know that—once they get the hang of it, that is.
